When are where are your services?

Our services are on Sundays at 10:00. Our church building is located at 879 3rd Ave, Rivers, Manitoba.

Can I bring my children to church?

Please do! All people –including babies, toddlers, etc.– are welcome in our worship services. If you would like childcare, we have a number of nursery areas: one immediately behind the auditorium, and two in the basement. We have plenty of toys, as well as cribs and a change-table. We even have high chairs!

What should I wear to church?

Whatever you like! You may see some of us wearing suits or dresses, but that doesn’t mean you have to do the same.

Do I need to bring food for lunch?

Nope! We usually make way too much food and have plenty left over. If you want to bring something, you are more than welcome to do so, of course, but please feel absolutely no obligation.

Do you have any special services?

Yes. We have services on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and Good Friday. We also celebrate communion six times a year.

Please note that in the Canadian Reformed Churches, only members who have made public profession of the Reformed faith and guests who have been admitted by the consistory are invited to partake of the Lord’s Supper. Members of sister-churches are admitted on the basis of a good attestation concerning their doctrine and conduct. Our practice of a restricted Lord’s Supper celebration should in no way be seen as a judgment on any visitors among us. Rather, this is how the elders of this church exercise their biblical responsibility to supervise the administration of this sacrament.

Do you collect money?

During the Sunday services we collect a monetary offering, which is a way for members to show their thankfulness to God. The money we collect serves a number of purposes: the majority we use for the maintenance and upkeep of the church building, and some we donate to various charities and to those who have financial need. As a guest, please feel no obligation to give anything.
